ReplyDeleteI am Shoaib Patel from Pune. I wanted to know few things from you. I know that Polygamy is allowed in India for Muslims, but what should a woman do if:
1. Her husband marries someone else after 25 HAPPY years of first marriage?
2. Her Husband is ill treating her, beating, cursing and threatens for divorce.
3. Not giving money for daily expenses, school fees of children etc.
Kindly advice, what can a women do in such situation?
Eagerly awaiting your response and help with this matter. I know this woman personally.

ReplyDeleteThe world is changing rapidly and so are the various aspects surrounding it. There is fierce competition, high rising ambition, aspirations and the yearning to be the best. As a result there is enormous tension, stress, lack of sleep and a sense of irritation. In such circumstances a man is incapable of taking in extra tension or work load especially when it comes to household matters. Any word from the wife appears to be a burden. She appears to be nagging, boring and the biggest obstacle in his happiness. The children appear cumbersome. Everything seems to him irritating. In such circumstances, if the husband under extreme stress and irritation utters talaq, should it be considered valid? The answer is a firm no. One should consider that these are changing times full of stress and tension. Often men who utters such hateful words might not mean it and it can be the result of mere frustration. He might even regret it. Hence there should be an attitude of flexibility on this serious matter. This is not to say that stress should become an excuse for men to commit this heinous act and cause mental agony to their wives. However it would be a better option to be less rigid on this issue keeping in mind the changing ways of life.
One should remember that the issue of a man marrying four times was justifiable at one point of time to protect the honour of widows, slaves and orphan women who were helpless. However, that is not so the case now. There are now alternative ways of helping helpless women with education and jobs. Similarly, keeping in view the changing ways of life where stress and tension are prevalent, the issue of talaq should be treated more leniently and humanely. Above all, Allah is the most merciful! So then what stops us, His followers to follow His noble path! Let us follow the path laid by the Almighty and the words of the Holy Quran.

It was just an idiotic debate where three idiot muslim women were arguing with an idiot maulana. He was idiot because he must not accept to participate in such kind of baseless debate. Do not you feel that infact you people were making joke of your own.
Shame on you guys , zee news was earning money by dishonoring you and islam , you were thinking that you spoke well. That media woman , she is a bussiness woman for her religion does not matter, what matters is more trp in her show. If her boss ask her to go for nude show or striping of cloths, she will accept to do that as money and fame is her god.
The whole world is against Islam , you guys are the one who help them to do so.
And for God sake , if you dislike Islam so much , than you are free to adapt any other religion. Christianity will be good for you where everything is acceptable.

ReplyDeleteI am a Muslim from Tamil Nadu and I came to know about you through media. I understood from many articles that you are doing a great job for the uplifting of women in our country. Even though I have different opinion on certain issues. I really appreciate your efforts. May Allah reward you for your good deeds.
Regarding "Triple Talaq", eventhough it is allowed in Islam, I don't agree with the interpretation of AIMPLB. According to Islam there is a prescribed time period between each talaq and the elders of the family and the learned should use this cooling off period to patch the difference between the warring couple. Triple talaq in one go is an anti-Quranic therefore unIslamic act. We should all raise our voice against AIMPLB's version.
Today, I happened to read an article on TOI about you inviting RSS cheif to a mosque constructed by you. I am shocked and speechless. How on earth you decided to invite this venom spitting snake into the house of Allah? I am not against non-Muslims being invited to the mosques. But this snake who is spitting venom against Muslims directly or indirectly every time he opens his mouth. Have you forgot that his very organization (RSS) and his parivars demolished the Babri Masjid and number of communal riots incited and organised by these morons?
What is the logic behind your invitation to him?
I sincerely believe that you owe an explanation to the Muslims of this country, if not 'Ummah'.

We should accept that there are some backdrops in the Muslim community (but cannot be anyway in Islam, it is perfect).
To solve it, should be an internal affair as the anti-Islamists forces using these backdrops as an opportunity to defame Islam Muslims. We must understand this that from those, whom you are seeking help, are not there to help but to use you for their own vested anti-Islamists interests.
I am totally agree with you that every muslims aren't inline with perfect Islamic guidelines but highlighting these in media for being highlighted is supporting those forces who are working their best to misguide the world against Islam and its core values just same as the terrorists uses Islam. Seeking help from those fascists who consider Muslims as a whole including me and you as their enemy, is like shouldering them against us.
Sister, you are better educated than me and you knows what we, Muslims are suffering particularly from within us.
I request you to keep your nicest work regarding the upliftment of muslim women in the way, which Islam allows and with the intention which you show!
